Three men broke into an Oakdale home early Thursday and used pepper spray and duct tape to subdue three residents during a home invasion robbery, police said.

The robbers got away with cash and a computer from the home in the 200 block of Church Avenue, just south of West G Street.

The victims, a married couple and the husband's brother, live at the home, Oakdale police detectives said. The robbers entered the home shortly after 4 a.m. and used pepper spray on the victims. Detectives said the robbers used duct tape to bind the wrists and ankles of the 38-year-old husband and his 30-year-old brother.

The robbers also hit the 50-year-old wife on the head with an unknown object. She suffered a severe laceration and was taken to a hospital for treatment, but the injury did not appear to be life-threatening, police said. Police said the suspects then fled the home, possibly armed with a shotgun, a pepper spray dispenser and a handgun.

There was no further description of the suspects. Oakdale police asked anyone with information about the robbery to call investigators at 847-2231.
