Modesto Quiznos robbed by masked men

Two masked men, one of them armed with a gun, robbed a northeast Modesto fast food eatery Thursday night and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

The armed robbery occurred about 8:40 p.m. at the Quiznos in a shopping center at Oakdale Road and Floyd Avenue. Modesto police Lt. Ron Cloward said the robbers walked in the restaurant, demanded cash from employees and fled in a vehicle. Police described the robbers as two men, one wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and the other wearing a white hooded sweat shirt.

He said the robbers were wearing bandanas with the Mexican flag on them.
