 1  Mansion jubilee

The McHenry Mansion is celebrating its 125th anniversary in style. The McHenry Mansion Jubilee honors the McHenry Family, the Julio Gallo Foundation and the city of Modesto for contributions to the historic landmark since its inception in 1883. The event includes 1880s-era entertainment with vaudeville acts, fortunetellers and snake-oil salesmen. The night has performances by the Gottschalk's Music Store Sousa Band and Ernie Bucio's Orchestra. Appetizers and beverages are served throughout.

 2  Global festival

The International Heritage Festival offers free family fun with international music and dance performances, ethnic foods, children's craft projects and more. The event begins with an international parade of flags and a performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner" by singer Joe Rykert.

 3  Ironstone finale

Enjoy the double bill of blues rocker Bonnie Raitt and gospel greats the Blind Boys of Alabama. The show is the season finale for the Ironstone Summer Concert Series. The season has been the highest attended yet, and Raitt's return performance (she played there in 2006) comes during the popular Calaveras Grape Stomp weekend. Combined, Raitt and the Blind Boys have won 13 Grammy Awards.

Enjoy the classical sounds of Marsalis Brasilianos, a performance by saxophonist Branford Marsalis with the Filharmonia Brasileira. The event is a celebration of the music of Heitor Villa-Lobos, one of the best-known Latin American composers of this century, with members of the Brazilian Orchestra and its conductor, Gil Jardim. The presentation is in honor of the 50th anniversary of Villa-Lobos' death.

A series of shows at the Gallo Center this weekend are tied to the International Heritage Festival. The Pacifico Dance Company offers Mexican history, professional standards and a sense of pride to audiences throughout the state. The Vagabond Opera performs in 11 languages, offering rich musical phrasing, sparkling lyrics and a strong stage presence. From Norway, the Jo Stromgren Kompani is one of Europe's most celebrated dance-theater ensembles.
