The California Highway Patrol arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol early Monday in the Bret Harte neighborhood south of Modesto.

A CHP officer pulled over Noel Montes on Dallas Street and West Hatch Road just before 2 a.m., said CHP officer Eric Parsons. Montes also was arrested on suspicion of having a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 percent, driving on a suspended license and giving a false name.

He had four outstanding warrants related to driving under the influence. He is being held at the Honor Farm with a bail of $2,000 for this incident. His bail for the previous incidents total $24,050.
