Sentencing postponed again for Modesto men in federal pot case

FRESNO - A scheduled sentencing for two Modesto men convicted on federal drug charges for operating a medical marijuana dispensary was postponed again today in U.S. District Court.

Luke Scarmazzo, 28, and Ricardo Ruiz Montes, 27, were convicted in May of manufacturing marijuana and distributing the drug, as well as operating a continuing criminal enterprise. They are now scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 6.
