Car seat checkup Saturday in Turlock

Modesto and Newman police, along with the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency "Keep Baby Safe" program, will conduct free child safety seat inspections Saturday from 8 to noon at the Smith Chevrolet Cadillac dealership at 1601 Auto Mall Drive, just west of the Fulkerth Road exit off Highway 99 in Turlock.

Besides the safety seat inspections, the dealership will offer free multipoint vehicle inspections. For more about the vehicle inspections, call Smith Chevrolet Cadillac at 632-3946.

Anyone unable to attend who would like a free child safety seat inspection can schedule one by calling the Modesto Police Department at 572-9500.
