HOME BASE: Modesto
PLAYERS: Jeff Remy, vocals; Craig Campbell, guitar; Eric Cartman, bass; Brent Cannon, drums
SOUNDS LIKE: Tequila Mockingbird is a high-energy rock 'n' roll cover band that plays a mix of contemporary and '80s metal and classic rock, including music from Nickelback, Buckcherry, Alice in Chains, Tool, Quiet Riot, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.
BACKSTORY: Tequila Mockingbird formed in September of 2007. Guitarist Campbell and vocalist Remy had been playing together previously in another band. When that group called it quits, they tapped longtime friends Cartman and Cannon to start a new group. The group has opened for Pat Travers at the Fat Cat Music House & Lounge and also played this year's Xclamation Festival.
QUOTE ME: "Some people think that guys with families shouldn't be living out their rock star dreams on the weekend, yet if we were reliving our glory days as jocks and playing on a softball team in the beer league every Friday night under the lights, that would be fine. Well, this band is our softball league, we're not looking to be rock stars, we just refuse to grow up a few times a month." vocalist Jeff Remy
