Three accidents Monday morning on northbound Highway 99 between Modesto and Ceres backed up traffic, the California Highway Patrol reported. The first accident happened at 7:35 a.m. just south of Kansas Avenue.

Three vehicles were involved. No injuries were reported, but a pregnant woman was taken to a hospital as a precaution, a CHP spokesman said. The second accident happened at 7:57 a.m. on the Crows Landing Road offramp.

Two cars were involved and no injuries were reported, officer Tom Killian said. The third accident happened at 8:01 a.m. at the Ceres exit, south of Whitmore Avenue.

A motorcycle and a car were involved. Minor injuries were reported, but both drivers drove away from the scene, Killian said. All accidents were cleared by 8:50 a.m.
