Modesto shoe store robbed at gunpoint

Three men robbed a north Modesto shoe store at gunpoint Thursday and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The armed robbery occurred about 3:45 p.m. at the Payless Shoe Source at 2601 Oakdale Road. Modesto police Sgt. Craig Gundlach said after leaving the store, the robbers got into a tan or beige Pontiac Grand Am driven by a woman.
