Dennis Cardoza has performed

I was taken aback by the letter "Why is Congress taking a vacation?" (July 22), blaming Congressman Cardoza's adherence to the congressional calendar for high gas prices, the housing crunch, and lack of a nationwide energy plan. As I recall, Dennis Cardoza introduced legislation pushing solar alternatives (even investing to put solar panels on his own house), has held multiple housing foreclosure workshops, and has been very vocal about consumers being gouged by oil companies and speculators. Perhaps the writer mistook Cardoza for the real do-nothing Modesto congressman -- George Radanovich?
