It teaches participants how to build muscle mass and increase flexibility to help perform daily activities. REFRESHING YOUR DRIVING SKILLS

Info: Drivers 50 and older can refresh their driving skills at the AARP Driver Safety Program. Both sessions are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per person. Participants will learn about age-related changes that can affect driving abilities. Participants must attend both sessions to earn a certificate of completion. HELPING DRAMA STUDENTS

Info: Riverbank High School drama students need emergency funding to secure their spot at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland next summer. Under the direction of drama teacher Stacy Blevins, RHS Drama was awarded one of eight spots by the American High School Theatre Festival judges. The students need $2,750 as soon as possible for their security deposit; $2,250 is needed by July 13 to enroll 15 students at $150 each. For more information, call Joey Huestis, 614-9135.

KIDS LOVE SOCCER

SOFT SCULPTURE CAMP

Info: This unique day camp will teach students how to make 3-D sculptures, abstract or representational and constructed using mixed media. Students are asked to bring recycled items such as bottle caps, Styrofoam, bread ties, buttons, shells, fabric and ribbon ends. The fee is $20 per child. Turlock

FREE FAIR TOURS FOR KIDS

When: July 17, 9 a.m.-noon

Where: Merced County Fair, 900 Martin Luther King Jr. Way

Info: Schools can call to reserve a time for an hourlong tour of the farm and exhibit buildings before the fair opens to the general public. The fair's theme is "Come Rock With The Flock," and displays of sheep's wool and byproducts will be featured, including items made into piano keys, bone china and gelatin desserts.
