Modesto

HEALTHY LIVING EXPO

Where: Modesto Centre Plaza, 10th and K streets

Info: $3 per person, $6 for a family. Information and vendors on healthy and wellness, CPR demos, healthy cooking demonstrations, and free samples.

CLASSES WITH PARKS AND RECREATION

Info: Classes to start soon are tennis camps for children ages 4 to 17; designed for beginner through advanced students and covers fundamentals, grips, scoring and movement drills in a fun and positive atmosphere. Tennis racket required. Camps run Monday through Thursday beginning July 7, July 21 and Aug. 4 at the Graceada Park tennis courts, 401 Needham St.

Art classes: A water media painting class for adults ages 18 and older will instruct students in how to apply wet into wet, dry brush, controlled wash, gradation and other basic water media techniques and will be held Wednesdays, July 9 through Aug. 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Modesto Senior Citizens Center, 211 Bodem St. The fee for six sessions is $70.

Art classes for young children: Mommy/Daddy and Me for ages 3 to 5 years. Class will be held Thursdays, July 10 through July 31, 11 a.m. to noon. The fee is $40. My First Art Class for ages 5 to 7 years. Tuesdays, July 8 through Aug. 12, 4 to 5 p.m. The fee is $60.
