 Stanislaus County Cities

CERES

Watering schedule:

• Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, before 12 noon and after 7:00 p.m.

• Odd-numbered addresses may water on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, before 12 noon and after 7:00 p.m.

• No watering on any day from noon to 7:00 p.m.

• No watering on Mondays without a waiver.

• Watering is permitted no more than three (3) days a week.

Other water conservation restrictions:

• Watering lawns or gardens so that excess water floods or runs off to surrounding areas is not permitted.

• Watering outdoor landscaping while it is raining is not permitted.

• Washing vehicles, equipment or boats using an open hose which is not equipped with a shut-off nozzle is not permitted.

• Hosing down driveways, streets, parking lots and building exteriors without proper consent is not permitted.

• Having leaky sprinklers, faucets or plumbing fixtures on the premises is not permitted.

• Operating evaporated coolers which are not equipped with a re-circulating pump is not permitted.

HUGHSON

Watering schedule:

• Even-numbered addresses may water Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, before 12 noon and after 7:00 p.m.

• Odd-numbered addresses may water Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, before 12 noon and after 7:00 p.m.

• Outdoor watering is limited to no more than three (3) days per week.

Other water conservation restrictions:

• Watering by hand (with cans, wands, hand-held hoses) is allowed on days as per address.

• Vehicle, equipment or boat washing is permitted on days as per address providing a hand-held, automatic shut-off nozzle hose and bucket is used and is limited to one (1) washing per week.

• Outdoor watering or car washing between the hours of 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m. is prohibited at any time.

MODESTO

Watering Schedule:

• Outdoor water use-prohibited daily between 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m. • Odd-numbered addresses may water on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, before 12 noon or after 7:00 p.m.

• Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, before 12 noon or after 7:00 p.m.

• No outdoor water use on Mondays.

Other water conservation restrictions:

• Car washing is subject to previous limitations with use of a positive shut-off nozzle.

• Hosing concrete areas, building exteriors, etc. may be done with city-issued permit and only with a positive shut-off nozzle.

• Water leaks, once identified, must be repaired within 24 hours.

• Restaurants are encouraged to serve water only on request.

• Water cannot be wasted and must be retained on site. Runoff from property, flooding gutters, overwhelming storm drains and rock wells is against City of Modesto policy.

OAKDALE

Watering schedule:

• Odd numbered street addresses may use outdoor water only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, before 10:00 a.m. and after 7:00 p.m.

• Even numbered street addresses may use outdoor water only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, before 10:00 a.m. and after 7:00 p.m.

Other water conservation restrictions:

• Watering lawns or gardens such that excess water leaves the property or area being watered.

• Watering outdoor landscaping while raining.

• Washing vehicles, equipment or boats, during restricted days or hours; and/or using hoses without automatic shut-offs.

• Hosing down of concrete or asphalt curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways or slabs.

• Having leaky faucets or plumbing fixtures on the premises.

PATTERSON

Watering schedule:

• Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, before 10:00 a.m. or after 7:00 p.m.

• Odd-numbered addresses may water on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, before 10:00 a.m. or after 7:00 p.m.

• On Sundays, watering is prohibited between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

RIVERBANK

Watering Schedule:

• Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday before 12 noon or after 7:00 p.m.

• Odd-numbered addresses may water on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday before 12 noon or after 7:00 p.m. • Do not water during the heat of the day.

Other water conservation recommendations:

• Use low-flow or water saving type nozzles and sprinklers.

• Set your sprinkler so the water sprays inside the lawn area, not the edge. As you water the lawn, the edge will get water too. • Instead of hosing down your driveway or sidewalk following yard work, use your broom.

TURLOCK

Watering Schedule:

• Odd-numbered addresses may water on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, before 12 noon or after 6:00 p.m.

• Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, before 12 noon or after 6:00 p.m.

• Watering is prohibited on Mondays

Other water conservation restrictions:

• Newly planted lawns will be allowed daily watering until the second mowing.

• Washing down or hosing of sidewalks, gutters and outside structures without permission of the Municipal Services department is prohibited.

• Filling of wading pools is permitted but "Slip-n-Slides" are prohibited.

• Washing of vehicles at a residence is allowed only if a positive shut-off valve (nozzle) is used and in proper operating condition and is limited to one (1) washing per week.

 Stanislaus County Unincorporated Areas

STANISLAUS COUNTY

Watering schedule:

• Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, before 12 noon or after 7:00 p.m.

• Odd-numbered addresses may water on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, before 12 noon or after 7:00 p.m.

• No outdoor water use on Mondays.

• Outdoor water use-prohibited daily between 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m.

Other water conservation restrictions:

• Car washing is subject to previous limitations with use of a positive shut-off nozzle.

• Hosing concrete areas, building exteriors, etc. may be done with city-issued permit and only with a positive shut-off nozzle.

 Merced County Cities

MERCED

Watering schedule:

• Odd-numbered addresses may water on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, before 11:00 a.m. or after 7:00 p.m.

• Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, before 11:00 a.m. or after 7:00 p.m.

• Watering is not allowed on Mondays.

• No midday watering.

Other water conservation restrictions:

• The washing of sidewalks, driveways, porches or other outdoor surfaces except when necessary to protect public health and safety, is prohibited. However, buildings may be washed down once a year.

• The operation of any ornamental fountain unless it uses a re-circulating water system is prohibited.

• Washing of boats, motor homes, automobiles or trucks with a hose that is not fitted with an automatic shut-off device is prohibited.

• The indiscriminate running or wasting of water is prohibited.

• Allowing broken or defective plumbing or irrigation systems which permit the escape or leakage of water is prohibited.

 San Joaquin County Cities

MANTECA

Watering schedule:

• Odd-numbered addresses may water on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, before 12 noon or after 6:00 p.m.

• Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, before 12 noon or after 6:00 p.m.

• Every address may water on Sunday, but not between 12 noon and 6:00 p.m.

Other water conservation regulations:

• You may run water to fill a swimming pool, only on the days and during the hours allowed for your address.

• Cars, trucks and boats may be washed on the days and during the hours allowed for your address, but only when using a quick-acting, positive shut-off nozzle on the hose or by using a bucket and sponge. Commercial car-washes are not restricted in the days and hours they operate.

• No water use will be allowed on any day, at any time, for washing off sidewalks, driveways, patios, parking lots, or other exterior non-landscaped areas.

• No water will be allowed to flow into a gutter or other drainage area for longer than 5 minutes. Water leaks, breaks, or malfunctions in the user's plumbing distribution system or irrigation system shall be repaired within 24 hours after discovery.

RIPON

No watering restrictions in effect.
