Tivoli needs no ag land mitigation

An ag mitigation requirement for the Tivoli project is illogical, unnecessary and doesn't make sense. My views:

Ag mitigation forces future generations to pay for ag easements (after all, builder-developers pass on their cost of doing business) that shouldn't be their responsibility. If ag land preservation is deemed that necessary, then policy-makers should make this a responsibility of all citizens and we can pay for ag land easements at the grocery store.

If preserving ag land is so important to ag interests, ag land owners can voluntarily place easements on their land to ensure their land will be farmed in perpetuity.

Ag land owners that think they may want to do something other than farm in the future (known as property rights) aren't going to sell easements.

An ag mitigation policy forces our sons and daughters to pay for something that shouldn't be solely their responsibility and would give ag land owners a windfall they haven't earned.
