There are three finalists left in the Modesto Symphony Orchestra's Young Idol competition.
Fifteen-year-old Emily Schrader of Modesto is the latest finalist to be voted out of the competition. The three left to battle it out are Freddy Lemmo of Salida, 13; Colton Pometta of Newman, 16; and Natalie Tout-Masnica of Turlock, 10.
This is the last week of Young Idol voting (at www.modbee.com/youngidol). The winner will be announced at Center Court at Vintage Fair Mall on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. This is the time when Santa arrives at the mall, and families and children are encouraged to attend.
The winner of the talent contest will perform at the symphony's Holiday Pops concert at the Gallo Center for the Arts and will receive a number of prizes. Demo recordings, video clips and short biographies of the remaining contenders are available at www.modbee.com/youngidol.
In addition to singing at the symphony's holiday performances at the Gallo Center in December, the winner will get limo service on the night of the concert, dinner for four at Bacchus restaurant, complimentary concert tickets for family members, a spa package, a $100 gift card to Vintage Faire Mall and the chance to record a CD for free at Celestial Sounds studio in Modesto.
