I own a financial services business in Ceres. It cannot be stressed enough the importance of electing and retaining Ceres City Councilman Guillermo Ochoa. He is a self-made, successful businessman with experience as a small-business owner as well as at the corporate level. Guillermo studies and knows the issues, and Ceres voters have come to know that the councilman is both our representative and friend.

Candidates Mike Kline and Steve Breckenridge each seem to think that voters are more interested in their criticism of the current council than an actual plan of action for better managing Ceres. The two should concentrate more on fostering a sense of shared purpose throughout our community -- as does Guillermo Ochoa.

The councilman's unwavering dedication to strengthening police and fire and making public safety more community-based gives me piece of mind. It is my hope that you will join me in voting for leadership that proves itself each and every day. Ceres can depend on Guillermo Ochoa.
