Scott Peterson asked to leave the courtroom just before a forensic pathologist took the stand to provide details about the remains of Laci and Conner Peterson.

Laci Peterson's family members, who have been in the front row nearly every court session, did not appear in court until after the forensic pathologist's testimony was over.

Peterson's parents, Lee and Jackie Peterson, remained in court. Jackie Peterson wiped her eyes with her fingers, then dabbed with a tissue.
