Kenyon Graham Reynolds, 44, of Ceres was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of lewd acts upon a child.

On Sept. 15, 2007, in Ceres, a police officer saw Reynolds sitting in his parked vehicle in an undeveloped, industrial area. Reynolds got out of his van with his pants unfastened and his zipper partially down.

A search of Reynolds's van revealed a large amount of child pornography, including one video of a 7-year old Ceres girl. After watching the video, it was apparent that Reynolds was the person who filmed the video of the child in the nude, authorities said.

Reynolds will be required to register as a sex offender for life. Due to the amount of child pornography in Reynolds's possession, as well as a prior misdemeanor conviction for possession of obscene material, Reynolds will be taken to federal court and face additional charges there.

Among the other sentences announced by the Stanislaus County district attorney's office:

Amy Elizabeth Leonard, 36, of Turlock was sentenced to two years in prison after being convicted of auto theft. At 8 p.m. Oct. 10 in Turlock, Leonard removed a pickup truck key from her friend's key ring as her friend was packing for a trip. After her friend's flight had departed, Leonard took the 2000 silver Chevy S10 pickup.

When her friend's brother saw that the vehicle had been taken, he reported the vehicle stolen. A Turlock police officer stopped Leonard as she was driving the vehicle the next day.

Lamarcus Maurice Pope was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of residential burglary. On Sept. 19, Pope went to a retirement center in Modesto, entered an 84-year-old victim's apartment and began going through her belongings. The victim's caretaker walked in on Pope, who then fled. Pope was apprehended a short time later, still in possession of the victim's jewelry.

Krishan Pratap, 18, of Modesto was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of auto theft and possession of methamphetamine. At 4 a.m. Sept. 7 in the area of Rumble Road and Sherwood Avenue in Modesto, a police officer saw Pratap driving a 1996 green Honda Accord that had been reported stolen from a driveway about five hours earlier.

When the officer tried to stop him, Pratap accelerated, but he lost control on a curve and hit a fire hydrant. Pratap had a baggie of methamphetamine inside his pants pocket.

Casey Kalani Nahinu, 27, of Turlock was sentenced to two years in state prison after being convicted of auto theft and resisting arrest. At 11 a.m. Aug. 1, officers saw Nahinu slumped over the steering wheel of a 1996 blue Chevy Corsica. The car had been reported stolen in Modesto the night before.

When officers approached Nahinu and tried to arrest him, Nahinu resisted. After a brief struggle, Nahinu was handcuffed. Nahinu claimed he was walking home the previous evening when he saw the vehicle parked in the orchard with the keys in the ignition, so he took it.

Jose Mendoza Vargas, 27, of Turlock was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of manufacturing methamphetamine. On Sept. 4, agents with the Stanislaus County Drug Enforcement Agency served a search warrant at a single-family residence on South Mitchell Road in Turlock.

Inside the home, agents found a digital scale, multiple containers of acidic chemicals, denatured alcohol, cooking vessels, glass containers, rubber tubing and a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Agents determined the lab was capable of producing 1 to 2 pounds of methamphetamine.
